How should bronchitis be examined

When a patient with cough and sputum is clinically encountered and bronchitis is suspected, the following tests will be done: 1. Ask the patient about the trigger of cough, sputum or shortness of breath, as well as the trigger of the above symptoms, duration, degree of onset, remission factors and other concomitant symptoms, such as fever, and generalized muscle aches and pains, which can provide the physician with partial diagnostic evidence through the chief complaint; 2. The physical examination usually reveals coarse breath sounds in both lungs, and very few patients have wet rales in both lungs; 3. If the patient is suffering from bronchitis, especially acute bronchitis, there will be no specific changes in the chest X-ray, which is usually thickened texture of both lungs. Therefore, the diagnosis of acute bronchitis or chronic bronchitis can be made through complaints, physical examination, and ancillary tests.
