Minimally invasive surgical treatment of multiple metastatic tumors of the thoracolumbar spine

An 83-year-old male patient with thoracolumbar back pain for several months, MRI and whole-body PET suggested destruction of the thoracic 9-lumbar 4 and sacral 1 vertebrae. The diagnosis was “prostate cancer with multiple metastatic tumors in the thoracolumbar spine”. The diagnosis was “prostate cancer with multiple metastatic tumors in the thoracic and lumbar spine”, and a percutaneous transluminal thoracotomy was performed under general anesthesia. After the operation, the pain in the thoracolumbar back was significantly relieved and walking was normal.
