Does high blood pressure cause sweating?

Hypertension can be associated with profuse sweating, such as acute heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, and aortic coarctation in cases of hypertensive emergencies. A history of malignant hypertension and subacute hypertension can also present with symptoms of irritability and profuse sweating. Secondary hypertension such as pheochromocytoma can also present with symptoms of profuse sweating with elevated blood pressure, headache, and pallor. However, the clinical presentation of pheochromocytoma is variable and can be clearly diagnosed from a significant increase in blood, urine, catecholamines or their metabolites and supplemented with ultrasound, CT, and MRI.
