A sunken face is already a bit old, but wrinkles and sagging facial skin have to be added to the mix, so the years carve deeper marks on the face. At this point, autologous fat grafting and ultrasonic knife may be the perfect solution to these two problems. What is autologous fat grafting? What is ultrasonic knife? Autologous fat grafting is a cosmetic procedure that can change and improve the surgical area, so that the otherwise sunken areas, such as the face, become contoured and smoothly defined. Ultrasonic knife, on the other hand, is a non-invasive technique that uses ultrasonic heat to induce deep collagen regeneration to restore skin elasticity and improve wrinkles. If I want to fill in and remove wrinkles at the same time, can I do it? The answer is yes, it is not possible! And if you do the autologous fat grafting first, you have to wait at least 3 months before you can have the ultrasonic knife treatment. The reason is that fat transfer is to suck out the excess subcutaneous fat from the donor area of the patient’s body through liposuction surgery, and after purification and other treatments, transplant it to the area that needs fat filling by injection. It takes a certain amount of time to recover, and after the fat is transplanted to the area, the cosmetic effect can only be achieved after the fat becomes viable. It usually takes about 1 week to establish the blood supply, and 3 months for the fat to grow and become viable under the blood supply. If you rush to do ultrasonic knife after autologous fat transplantation, the ultrasonic knife acts on the deep fascial layer of the skin, and the heat generated will affect the fat transplantation, making the fat metabolize prematurely and affecting the effect of fat transplantation. In addition, adverse reactions such as redness, swelling, bleeding and fat infection may occur after autologous fat grafting, and it will be different for different areas. In this case, it is also not recommended to do ultrasound knife immediately to avoid aggravating the adverse reactions. At the same time, proper care is needed after autologous fat grafting. For example, the donor area needs to be properly pressurized, depending on the amount of blood drawn and the site, the pressurization time varies from 1 to 5 days; keep the needle eye clean and dry, avoid intentionally squeezing the recipient area to avoid changes in shape; maintain a comfortable and comprehensive environment after surgery and avoid excessive physical labor. Diet needs to be light, maintain balanced nutrition and avoid intake of stimulating food, etc. Because there is actually no clear order requirement about which should be done first, autologous fat grafting or ultrasonic knife. So if a candidate has an urgent need for ultrasound knife, he or she can also do the ultrasound knife cosmetic program first and then consider autologous fat grafting. But again, it is not recommended to do autologous fat grafting immediately after having ultrasound knife. This is because ultrasonic knife uses conventional focused ultrasound to produce an immediate contraction of the fascial layer at different levels and depths of the skin through high temperatures of 65 to 70°C to achieve a tightening effect. This procedure is painful and can cause different degrees of damage to facial skin tissue, so it takes about 1~2 months to fully recover afterwards. Waiting for full recovery before performing lipofilling will usually not affect anything. Although ultrasonic knife treatment is non-invasive, you need to take good care of it. For example, avoid washing the face with hot and cold water, massaging, pulling the skin, as well as steaming sauna, shaving, exposure to the sun, sunbathing, and hot yoga. In addition, do not eat spicy food after ultrasonic knife surgery, maintain good habits of rest and avoid staying up late and overworking. It takes a lot of time and money to rejuvenate and regain your beauty, so you must think twice before deciding to undergo medical aesthetics. One think about whether to do it, two think about where to do it, three think about whether I have the courage to face the consequences of this if the treatment is not ideal, and only after the three thoughts are over, can you make a decision. Caution does not necessarily change a bad outcome, but recklessness is likely to lead to a worse outcome. References [1] Zhang Y.
