What department to see a mole

Patients who see moles, especially those on the skin, usually register with the Department of Dermatology. If the mole is very large and you want to remove it, you can also see the Department of Dermatology or Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. In terms of dermatology, there are three types of moles: intradermal moles, junctional moles and mixed moles according to their depth. Intradermal nevus is a larger mole, and if it needs to be treated, it may be difficult for CO2 laser to reach such a deep depth, so it is usually removed surgically. If the mole is relatively small, it can be treated with fractional laser or carbon dioxide laser in the local hospital, and usually small moles can be quickly removed by laser. Moles that grow in the armpit, groin, palm of the hand, sole of the foot and other friction areas have the tendency to become malignant, and moles that grow in these areas should be treated as soon as possible.
