A Swedish medical report states that radiation from cell phones may be harmful to the user’s brain, including the development of Alzheimer’s disease. This adds another layer of evidence to the claim that cell phone radiation is harmful. In the experiment, researchers at Lund University in Sweden used microwave pulses similar to those from cell phone radiation to irradiate rats. Within two minutes, the researchers found that the rats’ brain tissue “opened up” due to the loss of defense functions, and damaging proteins and toxins in the blood entered easily. Likewise, by being exposed to radiation waves from a cell phone for only two minutes, the body’s defenses to prevent damaging proteins and toxins in the blood from entering the brain would also be lost. Once the harmful proteins enter the brain tissue, the risk of brain and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis will increase. Cell phone manufacturers have previously stressed that the radiation levels of cell phones are in line with safety indicators. The study casts doubt on the current safety targets set by the World Health Organization. Experts suggest that it is best not to wait until the harmful effects of cell phone radiation are fully confirmed before taking precautionary measures. According to the British “Sunday Times” reported that several researchers at the University of Essen in Germany recently claimed that people who regularly use cell phones are three times more likely to suffer from eye cancer than people who play cell phones, which is the first time scientists published an official statement that cell phone radiation can cause cancer. Previously, some scientists pointed out that cell phone radiation can lead to temporary damage to brain cells, but this is the first time scientists pointed out that frequent use of cell phones can produce permanent damage to the human body. If the above findings are confirmed by further research, those patients who frequently use cell phones and have suffered from eye cancer will file thousands of lawsuits against cell phone companies. According to reports, the scientists studied an eye cancer called malignant melanoma in an experiment in which patients with this eye cancer have melanoma on their iris and retina, which can lead to blindness and vision loss. One of the researchers, Dr. Andres Stang, said he studied 118 patients with this eye cancer in an experiment and asked them about their cell phone use, then compared them with some people who did not have the disease, and found that the former used cell phones far more often than the latter. So far, the exact cause of how cell phone use leads to eye cancer is not clear, but according to scientists, the internal environment of the human eye is more moist and therefore helps the absorption of cell phone radiation.
