Can I have a natural pregnancy with polycystic ovaries?

Patients with polycystic ovaries can have a natural pregnancy. Polycystic ovaries generally refers to ultrasound findings suggesting a morphological change in the bilateral ovaries. For these women, they are generally not accompanied by abnormalities in sex hormones and may be found to have polycystic changes in the bilateral ovaries during a physical examination, which can lead to natural conception as long as ovulation is regular and does not have much effect on pregnancy. However, patients with polycystic ovary syndrome usually have menstrual disorders, scanty menstruation, anovulation, obesity, hirsutism, and hormone tests indicating that the ratio of luteinizing hormone to follicle stimulating hormone is more than 2.5. Some women have high androgens, which makes it difficult for them to conceive. However, it should be noted that some patients with polycystic ovary syndrome only have scanty menstruation but not absolute ovulation, so there is still a possibility of natural conception. As mentioned above, women with polycystic ovaries can definitely have a natural pregnancy, so don’t worry, do regular maternity checkups and carry out fertility treatment if necessary.
