Bone tumors occurring in the spine, ribs, sacrum, etc. are mostly metastatic malignant tumors, and pain is the main symptom of patients. Traditional surgical treatment has many drawbacks, such as long surgical incision, large trauma, large bone tissue removal, bone grafting in the resected area, internal fixation and long-term postoperative braking, which prolong the recovery time and increase the economic burden of patients. With his advanced concept, Director Wang Wenhui of the Department of Interventional Medicine of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University has introduced CT-guided percutaneous percutaneous cryoablation with argon helium knife into the field of pain treatment, which has relieved the pain of many bone tumor patients in the province. Ar-He knife cryotherapy is a minimally invasive way to kill malignant tumor cells by freezing without damaging the adjacent important structures. CT-guided percutaneous percutaneous cryotherapy for malignant bone tumors has the advantages of precise localization, minimal trauma, and definite pain relief, which can minimize complications and increase success rate.
