Indications for surgery for hyperthyroidism

  (1) Moderate or severe hyperthyroidism with ineffective or poor long-term drug therapy.  ② Relapse after stopping medication with a large thyroid gland.  ③Nodular goiter with hyperthyroidism.  ④Compression on surrounding organs or retrosternal goiter.  ⑤Suspected coexistence with thyroid cancer.  ⑥Poor results of medication in children with hyperthyroidism.  ⑦Pregnancy with poor results of medication, surgery may be considered in the middle stage.
