The first symptoms of novel coronavirus pneumonia infection are not exactly the same for everyone. In the case of children, the first symptoms can be vomiting, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms, and the severity of the onset of infection with novel coronavirus is not exactly the same. In the case of asymptomatic infection there can be no symptoms, only positive viral tests for nucleic acid, combined with an epidemiological history of the patient. The majority of patients have a moderate fever with cough, sore throat, and fatigue, and will develop respiratory distress or hypoxemia within a week or so. The disease may progress more rapidly in the elderly or with underlying diseases.
