Recurrent fever is not necessarily novel coronavirus pneumonia. The main symptoms of novel coronavirus pneumonia are fever, malaise, dry cough, and in some patients, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea, and muscle aches. Novel coronavirus fever is predominantly low to moderate, and fever is recurrent, with the possibility of no fever in severe cases. The epidemiological history is important for the diagnosis of novel coronavirus. If there is no epidemiological history and no history of exposure, recurrent fever also needs to be considered to be caused by common respiratory viral or bacterial infections, which requires blood tests, C-reactive protein, respiratory viruses, chest CT, and if necessary, novel coronavirus nucleic acid tests for further differentiation and diagnosis.
