How is occult penis diagnosed and treated?

Occult penis Occult penis is a common pediatric urological disease, which used to be misdiagnosed as prepuce or circumcision and circumcised. In the past 10 years, experts at home and abroad began to pay attention to the research on the etiology of occult penis and the treatment standards, and the clinical operation methods have been improved. Families of the children come to the hospital because of the short appearance of the penile body of the children, and the symptoms are more obvious in obese children. Diagnostic examination: The child’s penis has a “bird’s beak” appearance, the foreskin is long or the foreskin opening is narrow and cannot be turned up to expose the head of the penis, and it is difficult to find the penile corpus cavernosum on the skin surface in a standing position. Treatment of occult penis: Surgery to remove the degenerative fibers and fatty tissue of the meatus can effectively extend the length of the penis and prevent recurrence of peri-circumcision. The surgery is a plastic surgery, and it can avoid the psychological and physical damage to the child. After a clear diagnosis, occult penile disease can only be treated by surgical means. In our pediatric surgery, we use the modified Brisson procedure, which has a more beautiful postoperative appearance, but the surgical result is positively correlated with the obesity of the child. If the child is obese, he or she should exercise actively and control the diet after surgery, so that the penis shape can be close to normal children after losing weight.
