The chemotherapy methods for malignant bone tumors include preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy, postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy and palliative chemotherapy for patients with advanced stage. Generally, different chemotherapy methods and chemotherapy regimens are selected according to the different clinical stages, pathological types and physical conditions of the patients’ malignant bone tumors. 1. Preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy is mainly applicable to patients who have difficulties in radical surgery and whose malignant bone tumors are more sensitive to chemotherapy, such as Ewing’s sarcoma, malignant lymphoma of bone and so on. 2. Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy is mainly applied to patients with high malignant degree of bone malignant tumor or cancer residue after operation, which can reduce the incidence of recurrence and metastasis, for example, adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with osteosarcoma after operation. 3. Palliative chemotherapy is mainly applied to patients with advanced bone malignant tumors, such as patients with lung metastasis of bone malignant tumors. In addition to chemotherapy, malignant bone tumors also have surgery and radiotherapy. It is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals to receive standardized diagnosis and treatment.
