Symptoms of a fracture in the chest

Thoracic fractures are usually caused by external forces that result in rib fractures, mainly manifesting as chest pain, increased breathing, more pronounced with deep breathing and coughing, and affected turning activities, fracture bleeding, which can lead to pleural effusion and lung contusion. The fracture is accompanied by chest pain and breathlessness, and some patients have a combination of lung infection, fever and dyspnea. After the inflammation is improved by anti-inflammation and nebulization, the main manifestation is pain in the chest, and it is a persistent dull pain, which changes rhythmically with the breathing movement. In the case of unilateral chest fractures of multiple ribs, a shackled chest may appear, which is characterized by collapse of the chest wall on one side and abnormal breathing, causing severe life-threatening respiratory distress. In this case, surgery is required to fix 3-5 ribs to support the thorax to maintain respiratory movement, otherwise it will lead to poor breathing and a series of complications.
