Congenital heart disease treatment is as simple as that

The book “The heart has a heart – congenital heart disease treatment is so simple”, edited by Prof. Yongzhi Deng, was published and released by People’s Health Publishing House in March 2015. The main purpose of this book is to help patients with congenital heart disease and their relatives to clarify the treatment of congenital heart disease, to diagnose and treat it in time, and to avoid delaying the diagnosis and treatment and missing the best time for treatment. Congenital heart disease is characterized as “treatable in the early stage, difficult to treat in the late stage, and ultimately untreatable”. The book introduces congenital heart disease and its perioperative management in simple language, and provides a more detailed description of the surgical and interventional treatment of common congenital heart diseases. The focus is on helping readers to grasp the best time for surgical treatment and to clarify the considerations for perioperative and postoperative rehabilitation, so that more than 90% of children with simple precardiac diseases, such as common ventricular septal defects, atrial septal defects, and patent ductus arteriosus, can grasp the timing for radical surgery, and some complex precardiac diseases can also be treated surgically to achieve more desirable results, so that the children can regain their lives. We can avoid missing the best surgical opportunity due to delayed diagnosis and treatment, resulting in the formation of pulmonary hypertension or ventricular function degeneration, which will eventually lead to the adverse consequences of difficult treatment and poor results.
