Can X-rays, CT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests be performed during pregnancy?

Low dose X-rays can be performed during pregnancy and studies have shown that lower radiation doses have no effect on the fetus, but 8 to 15 weeks is the period when the fetus is sensitive to radiation and X-rays should be performed with caution during this period.
CT examinations have a higher radiation dose and are relatively safe for a single application, but should be considered with caution. For those pregnant women who require multiple CT examinations or whose diagnosis is still not confirmed by multiple examinations, MRI without rolling contrast can be performed.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) without rolling contrast is not a radiation hazard and can clearly show the appropriate lesion, but as the first 12 weeks of pregnancy is a sensitive period, tests performed during this time should be performed with caution.
