The patient’s family was aware of the critical nature of the disease and was also very anxious. After receiving the patient in the surgical emergency department, the cardiothoracic surgery department was quickly contacted for consultation. After the patient was admitted to the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department and Shang Zhongliang, the director on duty that day, rushed to the emergency clinic to examine the patient and contacted the director of Intensive CT and Sun Jingcheng of the Department of Orthopedics for a joint consultation, a treatment plan was formulated to first observe the changes in the back hematoma, prepare for emergency surgery, and discuss and develop a surgical plan for the whole department tomorrow. The patient’s condition remained relatively stable overnight, but the back hematoma was still slowly increasing. In the morning of August 15, the whole department of cardiothoracic surgery discussed and determined the surgical plan, contacted the operating room, anesthesia department and blood transfusion department for preoperative preparation, and contacted the general surgery vascular group and orthopedics department to participate in the surgery together if necessary. The patient’s back was finally flattened after nearly 4 hours of surgery, starting at 11:00 am. A total of 3800ml of blood was removed from the large “basketball”, equivalent to more than half of the human body. The surgeon, Dr. Shang Zhongliang, introduced that the bulge in the patient’s back was caused by bleeding within the capsule of the giant neurofibroma, and the bleeding could not be stopped by itself.
