Do you know about biological anti-tumor?

If the 20th century was the era of radiotherapy-based treatment, then the 21st century is the era of biological treatment technology. The general promotion of biological therapy technology in clinical practice is a hope for the majority of tumor patients. So what is the difference between biologic therapy technology and traditional treatment? How should tumor patients choose? Surgery: prone to metastasis and recurrence after surgery As a traditional therapy, surgical treatment directly removes tumor, the advantage of which is that the treatment effect is direct and rapid, and early stage patients can be partially cured through surgery. However, its disadvantages are that it is more traumatic and dangerous, especially for tumors in complex and sensitive areas; it is not effective for microscopic lesions and subclinical metastatic lesions; many patients often miss the best period of surgery when they are found. At the same time, because it is a local treatment, it cannot solve the problem of cancer cell spreading and metastasis, and is prone to metastasis and recurrence after surgery. Chemotherapy toxic side effects are obvious: nausea, physical and mental fatigue, hair loss, heartburn, fever …… Almost every tumor patient will have such side effects after receiving chemotherapy. The reason for this situation is that chemotherapy drugs are often ‘unclear about right and wrong’ and ‘enemy and me’. While chemotherapy kills tumor cells, it also kills normal cells in human body. Radiotherapy has great damage to the body: radiotherapy is the application of local irradiation to destroy or shrink tumor tissues, which has better efficacy for regionally sensitive tumors and relatively less toxic side effects. However, it kills tumor cells as well as normal cells, causing damage to the immune system; the tumor site is more limited; it is not effective for microscopic lesions and subclinical metastatic lesions. Biological therapy: fighting tumor with its own power In common parlance, ‘biological anti-cancer technology’ is to activate the immune surveillance of human body again for patients. To use an analogy: the treatment process is just like drawing blood and giving an intravenous injection. We draw 50-80ml of intravenous blood from the patient’s body, send it to our GMP laboratory to isolate the required single nucleated cell components, and after about two weeks to cultivate high quality, highly active cells with powerful specific functions to kill tumor cells. Then, like an intravenous injection, the blood containing high quality cells is reinjected into the patient’s body by drip intravenous injection, which is equivalent to fighting the tumor with the patient’s own power. Advantages of biological tumor therapy Biological therapy can repair the damaged immune system, activate the immune cells of the body, effectively remove the residual tumor cells after surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, prevent tumor recurrence and metastasis; there are no toxic side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, resist the immunosuppressive effect of chemotherapy drugs, inhibit the growth of tumor even for patients with advanced tumor, prolong the survival period and improve the quality of life. Indications of biological tumor therapy Biological therapy is applicable to many solid tumors, including malignant melanoma, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, lung cancer, laryngeal cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer and other solid tumors to prevent recurrence after surgery, and also can be used for the recurrence of hematological malignancies such as multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukemia, and also It can be used for further consolidation treatment of the above tumors to achieve prolonged survival and improved quality of life.
