Oral rotavirus vaccination schedule

Oral rotavirus vaccine is usually administered to children between 2 months and 3 years of age. The rotavirus vaccine can be used to prevent rotavirus enteritis and is relatively easy to use, in oral form, without the need for intramuscular injections. The oral administration of the vaccine to children between 2 months and 3 years of age stimulates the body to develop the appropriate immunity to prevent diarrhea caused by rotavirus infection and reduces the mortality rate of rotavirus infection. If your child has symptoms of low fever, rash or nausea and vomiting after vaccination, it is recommended to closely observe the changes in symptoms. However, if the symptoms of discomfort are progressively worse, prompt medical attention is needed. Rotavirus vaccine can be given directly to infants and children, but it is important to avoid periods of high diarrhea and to avoid drinking hot water when taking it. After taking the vaccine, take rest and eat a light diet, and consult a doctor promptly if a high fever occurs.
