What are the symptoms of enteritis in children

Enterocolitis in children is a frequent problem that can have the same symptoms as enterocolitis in adults, but there are some differences. The clinical manifestations may be heavier or more delayed, and the ability to heal on their own is relatively poor. The main symptoms of enteritis in children include abdominal pain, diarrhea, increased stool frequency and crying due to bloating, abdominal pain and abdominal discomfort. The first is diarrhea, which is characterized by an increase in the number of stools, as well as a significant change in the nature of the stool, i.e., the stool was once a day, but suddenly became four times a day, and what was originally in the form of strips became paste or even thin watery, all of which are possible symptoms of enteritis. If the baby has gastroenteritis, especially severe gastroenteritis, then the stomach and intestines do not necessarily feel very uncomfortable, there can be bloating, pain, talking babies can express these uncomfortable feelings, while the small children who do not speak may be manifested as paroxysmal crying and kicking. Some children also have fever and a significantly elevated temperature due to an infection, which is also indicative of enteritis rather than just indigestion. As you can see, enteritis in children can be as specific as indigestion, and can have specific manifestations that require parental attention and timely diagnosis and treatment.
