I. Overview Moxibustion Moxibustion treatment methods have a long history, and over the years, its therapeutic scope has remained basically unchanged as recorded in ancient texts. Although there are many alternatives to moxibustion (moxibustion therapy devices), the effectiveness of the treatment is not satisfactory. To correct the reason, these may simply imitate the temperature of moxibustion. We know that “light (heat) has fluctuation (spectrum) and particle nature”. It has been proven that the radiation energy spectrum of moxibustion is between 0.8-5.0 μm, and the human body is a natural source of infrared radiation, while constantly absorbing infrared light from the outside world. This radiation heat metabolism of the human body will maintain the balance between the organism and the external environment, and maintain the normal function of all systems and organs in the human body. The difference between the infrared radiation spectra of acupuncture points and non-acupuncture points is large, and moxibustion must act on human acupuncture points to play its therapeutic effect. The analysis and comparison of traditional moxibustion and human infrared radiation spectra reveals that moxibustion and human acupuncture point area infrared radiation spectra have a surprising consistency; the spectrum (frequency) energy produced by moxibustion is highly absorbable and bioeffective by biological tissues. Particles are particles that are unique to the substance escaping at a certain temperature during the heating process before burning, and such particles that escape in all directions also have properties unique to this substance. In other words, before the mugwort leaves are heated and burned, particles unique to mugwort already escape, and such particles unique to mugwort have a therapeutic effect unique to mugwort leaves. In this way it is not difficult to understand the unique therapeutic principle of moxibustion in the moxibustion treatment of the interstitial (medicine) moxibustion, only that science and technology is not yet capable of analyzing the means of particles. Moxibustion is acting on the meridians in the meridians, the ligaments or both. From the clinical point of view, moxibustion mainly acts on the meridians. One, modern research found that the role of blood vessels, blood vessels are mainly by the smooth muscle group, moxibustion has a diastolic effect on smooth muscle. Moxibustion treatment principle “cold is warm”, can directly improve the local tissue blood circulation, can visually see the local skin capillary dilation, accelerate the absorption of sterile inflammation. It is very effective for cervical spondylosis and various arthritis. Secondly, moxibustion mostly uses local acupuncture points and rarely follows the meridians. From the clinical point of view, moxibustion is good for smooth muscle-based internal organs, uterus, (small) intestine, respiratory tract treatment; it is poor for liver and spleen parenchymal organs. The temperature emitted by the burning of moxa leaves is highly permeable to tissues, i.e., the tissue affinity of thermal frequency is high, which can directly increase the energy metabolism effect of local tissues. We will take this as an entry point to study and explore the mechanism of moxibustion treatment to produce good effect on the organism (loxodes). Second, the clinical application of moxibustion treatment 1, the acute stage of asthma patients, using moxa stick gentle moxibustion back (lung) acupuncture point treatment. It can effectively improve pulmonary blood circulation; relieve bronchial smooth muscle contraction and spasm; reduce airway mucous membrane edema and airway hypersecretion, so that the white phlegm and mucus embolism produced in the airway can be reduced, effectively promoting the absorption of lung inflammation, thus improving a series of clinical symptoms of asthma cough, cough and asthma. In the same principle, during the remission period of asthma, it can also well improve the pulmonary circulation and enhance the patient’s lung tissue’s self-healing ability and resistance to disease, which can effectively treat various chronic respiratory inflammatory diseases. Our experimental study found that moxibustion treatment can effectively reduce the degree of lung lesions, i.e., lung index, in a mouse model of viral infection. Altering the mean survival time and prolonging the vital rate of infected mice suggests that this method has a definite protective effect on mice infected with FM1 strain of influenza virus. It provides a reliable laboratory basis for clinical treatment of such diseases. 2.Moxibustion can treat diarrhea caused by various reasons. Moxibustion treatment can slow down intestinal peristalsis, relieve mesenteric vascular spasm and increase intestinal absorption, thus having a strong antidiarrheal effect. This method is not only clinically effective for chronic diarrhea in the elderly “five more diarrhea”, but also for young people, and even for infants and children diarrhea is also very effective and does not worry about the side effects of drugs. Infant diarrhea “gentle moxibustion” treatment method: the doctor’s left index finger middle finger open, lightly placed on the child “Shen Que” point ( navel) next to prevent the child crying and moving around to burn the belly; the second is through the doctor’s finger to feel the temperature of moxibustion. If the child with diarrhea is reluctant to eat food, add moxibustion to the “Zhonggui” point (the midpoint of the line between the sternal process and the navel). If the child has too much diarrhea and the stool is too thin, add moxibustion to the “Qihai” or “Guangyuan” point (the midpoint of the line between the navel and the pubic symphysis, a little above). Each treatment for about 20 minutes, the child’s belly red for the degree. Generally, 1 or 2 treatments can be effective, diarrhea symptoms can be cured in mild cases. 3.Acupuncture to promote ovulation With the progress of modern fertility techniques such as in vitro fertilization and artificial insemination, infertility caused by ovulatory dysfunction due to poorly developed follicles in the ovaries and loss of normal function of the ovulatory system has become more of a concern. In cooperation with our fertility center, we have been using moxibustion and electroacupuncture to promote ovulation, and we have achieved excellent results. (1) Gentle moxibustion of Qihai and Guangyuan can directly and effectively promote the absorption of chronic gynecological inflammation; improve the blood supply of microcirculation in the pelvic cavity and increase the nutritional effect on tissues (ovaries and uterus). Local tissues absorb light energy converting it into bioenergy stored in ATP molecules. With the hydrolysis of ATP, ATP is converted into ADP and energy is released, while ultra-weak photon radiation is produced and the energy released is used as energy for life activities, which is one of the principles of moxibustion treatment acting on the ligament. (2) The mechanism of electro-acupuncture for ovulation has two aspects: one is the local stimulation effect. The acupoints taken in the small abdomen are all close to the uterus/ovaries, and the stimulation by electric current stronger than deep pricking and heavy manipulation in the treatment may produce some physical stimulation to the ovarian cytosol on the surface of mature follicles, making the mature follicles easy to rupture and thus inducing ovulation. A review of the relevant literature proves that acupuncture has a better clinical effect on ovulation promotion, and the efficiency and side effects are significantly better than those of western medicine for ovulation promotion. Acupuncture is mostly used to treat this disease with localized abdominal acupuncture points: Guan Yuan (Zhong Ji) and ovaries (uterus); the treatment method mostly uses acupuncture (electroacupuncture). Fast and accurate real-time ultrasound is used to confirm clinical results, and the simple and easy BBT method is used to monitor ovulation.
