Metastatic tumor is a stage of cancer

The metastasis of tumor is divided into regional lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis. Generally, tumor with regional lymph node metastasis is considered as middle to late stage of cancer and distant metastasis is considered as late stage of cancer. Metastasis refers to the transfer of tumor cells originating from one part of the body to other parts of the body. Usually, cancer patients will have regional lymph node metastasis in the middle to late stage of cancer and distant metastasis in the late stage of cancer. When patients have metastases, it is recommended to go to oncology department of regular hospital to determine the site of tumor metastasis through regular medical examination, so as to arrive at clear diagnosis and timely targeted treatment. Patients themselves cannot make accurate judgment through symptoms.
