Cervical spondylosis is divided into the following types according to the location and extent of the lesion and the tissue under pressure. 1. Cervical cervical spondylosis Cervical cervical spondylosis as a subtype of cervical spondylosis is still controversial in China. In China, Zhao Dinglin, Pan Zhiqing and others support the typology of cervical cervical spondylosis. The main clinical manifestations of this type of cervical spondylosis are limited to the neck area, with symptoms such as pain and discomfort. This type is more common in clinical practice and may be a precursor to other types of cervical spondylosis. 2.Neurogenic cervical spondylosis Neurogenic cervical spondylosis is the most common type of cervical spondylosis, accounting for about 60% of the incidence of cervical spondylosis. It can be clinically divided into acute and chronic types, mostly manifesting as abnormal skin sensation, reduced muscle strength, muscle atrophy and weakened tendon reflexes in the area innervated by the affected nerve roots. The incidence of vertebral artery cervical spondylosis accounts for about 20% of the incidence of cervical spondylosis. The symptoms of this type of cervical spondylosis are complex and changeable, and it is easy to be confused with a variety of diseases, and sometimes it is difficult to be diagnosed. The age of onset of this disease is higher than that of other types of cervical spondylosis, mostly above 45 years old, and the incidence tends to increase in parallel with age, and the symptoms also become increasingly aggravated with increasing age. 4, sympathetic cervical spondylosis Sympathetic cervical spondylosis has complex and diverse clinical manifestations, mostly subjective symptoms, and lacks specific objective indicators for diagnosis, so the incidence of this type of cervical spondylosis was previously thought to be small. Sympathetic cervical spondylosis may induce symptoms of sympathetic nerve disorder in the head, shoulder, upper limbs or thoracic organs, etc. 5.Spinal cord type Spinal cord type cervical spondylosis is mostly seen in middle-aged and elderly people, and there are more men than women. The symptoms of this disease are more serious, and the disability rate is higher. In mild cases, some or all of the work and learning abilities can be lost, and in more serious cases, tetraplegia and bedridden can occur, affecting life. The onset of this type of cervical spondylosis is often progressive, painful symptoms are often not obvious, often with clumsy limbs as the first symptom, often easily confused with other diseases, and therefore late diagnosis, resulting in delayed treatment, so early diagnosis and early treatment of spinal cervical spondylosis is very important. 6, mixed cervical spondylosis Clinically, those who have clinical symptoms and signs of two or more types of cervical spondylosis are called mixed cervical spondylosis. If the neurogenic type and spinal cord type exist at the same time, it can be called a mixed type, or the vertebral artery type and the neurogenic type exist at the same time, and in some cases, there are also three types coexisting, so we also call it a mixed type. The mixed type is not uncommon in clinical practice, and according to statistics, it accounts for about 20% of the total number of cervical spondylosis. The sympathetic type combined with other types of cervical spondylosis is more common. Because the symptoms of mixed cervical spondylosis are complex, it is difficult to diagnose, differential diagnosis and clinical differentiation.
