HPV16 positive

Positive HPV16 indicates infection with human papillomavirus type 16 infection. HPV16 is a type of human papillomavirus, which belongs to mucosal high-risk type and is closely related to cervical lesions. After a woman is infected with HPV16, if her body has a high immunity and the local immune environment of the cervix is normal, usually more than 90% of people will turn negative within 2 years of re-testing without causing cervical lesions. If HPV16 infection persists for more than 2 years and the viral load is relatively high, the local environment of the cervix is poor, it may develop into cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, precancerous lesions, or even cervical cancer. Therefore, after HPV16 infection is detected, cervical exfoliation cytology should be performed. If the cervical exfoliation cytology, shows low grade lesions or high grade lesions, further colposcopy and cervical biopsy are needed, and then the next treatment plan will be decided based on the results of the cervical biopsy. If there are no cervical lesions, regular TCT and HPV examinations are needed to closely monitor changes in the disease through follow-up examinations, while avoiding poor lifestyle habits and dietary structure in daily life and increasing exercise appropriately to improve the body’s immunity. If cervical biopsy suggests high cervical lesions, cervical conization surgery such as Lipo knife surgery is needed to control the disease progression. If there is cancer, total hysterectomy including lymph nodes and adnexa should be performed to clear the cancerous tissues and lymph nodes to prevent the metastasis of cancer cells.
