For the detection of drug-resistant tuberculosis, the traditional drug sensitivity method is usually used. First, sputum tuberculosis culture is performed, and then sputum tuberculosis drug sensitivity is performed after the results of sputum tuberculosis culture, which includes about ten drugs, and the whole cycle takes about two months, and the results are relatively slow. Advanced genetic testing is now available for drug resistance genes, mainly for isoniazid and rifampicin, and more advanced testing technologies may be used in the clinic in the future to obtain the drug resistance status of patients earlier in order to adjust the treatment plan for drug-resistant TB.
