Valuing the opportunity for initial treatment to reduce multidrug-resistant tuberculosis

The old tuberculosis that has not been eradicated for a long time, almost killed the old “If not for you, I would have died a long time ago, really thank you, I’m here to pay you a good morning ……” the year of the snake on the thirtieth day of the lunar month, has been fever for nearly half a month, suddenly large mouths of blood, by the family The doctor told him: “You are suffering from severe tuberculosis, the lungs are rotten with several large cavities, the blood is coming from the cavities. If you come later, you may not be able to spend the New Year!” Master Jiang was astonished: “I used to have tuberculosis, every time I had an attack for more than ten years I took a few months of tuberculosis drugs and got better. How come now my disease is getting more and more powerful, but also hemoptysis?” In fact, it is because Master Jiang did not have regular treatment each time, which could have been completely eradicated at once TB disease has been delayed again and again. From the test report of Master Jiang last year, he was diagnosed with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, there is no sure effective program to treat him, although after a year of efforts by the Wuhan Medical Treatment Center, Master Jiang’s current condition has been significantly controlled and improved, but the dangerous scene at the time still often makes Master Jiang palpitate. Most multidrug-resistant tuberculosis is caused by human factors and could have been avoided. Tuberculosis is caused by the infection of the human body by the tubercle bacillus, and once it develops, the treatment principle of “early, combined, regular, adequate and full” should be strictly observed, and 95% of patients can be completely cured. However, the number of patients with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis has increased significantly due to unreasonable treatment regimens, lack of quality assurance of drugs, and lack of proper and strong supervision of the treatment course. The so-called multidrug-resistant TB refers to TB patients infected with TB bacteria that have been proven in vitro to be insensitive to at least two or more first-line anti-TB drugs at the same time. With only a dozen anti-tuberculosis drugs available worldwide, multidrug-resistant TB has received increasing attention from the government due to the uncertainty and high price of anti-TB drugs, the severe physical devastation of patients, and the enormous infectiousness of the surrounding population. The state has provided free screening and treatment for general TB patients for many years, which has greatly reduced the financial burden on the majority of patients, enabled more patients with multi-drug resistant TB to receive timely treatment, and fundamentally cut off the source of multi-drug resistant TB infection. The key to reducing multi-drug-resistant TB is initial treatment. We hope that more first-time patients will cherish the opportunity and not think that TB has long been conquered, so we can just find a hospital or clinic and prescribe some medicine to eat for a few months and get the symptoms under control. This will only delay the disease and harm people and themselves. It is very difficult to cure TB without regular treatment! You need a regular TB treatment facility to supervise the treatment, where the treatment plan is guaranteed, the quality of the medication is assured, and any changes in the disease can be handled in a timely manner, and patients who have completed the course of treatment can be properly evaluated to see if they are cured and can stop taking the medication. Tuberculosis is really not a terrible disease, strive for a one-time cure and do not carry the tuberculosis bacillus through the New Year. In this way, we can fundamentally reduce the occurrence of the tragedy of Master Jiang type.
