Is 37.5 degrees a fever in adults?

  An adult body temperature of 37.5°C is considered to be in the category of fever.  The normal temperature of the human body under the armpit is between 36°C and 37°C, with mild fluctuations in body temperature throughout the day. In clinical practice, fever is classified into four types according to the degree of fever: 1. low fever: the patient’s body temperature is between 37.1°C and 38°C. 2. moderate fever: the patient’s body temperature is between 38.1°C and 39°C. 3. high fever: the patient’s body temperature is between 39.1°C and 41°C. 4. super high fever: the patient’s body temperature exceeds 41°C. The current body temperature is 37.5℃, which can be diagnosed as low fever. Patients are advised to actively perform physical cooling and use warm water or alcohol to wipe their bodies.  In addition, patients should drink more water during the fever, eat vegetables and fruits in moderation, eat a light diet, avoid spicy and stimulating foods or idiopathic foods, and enhance the ability to resist disease.
