What causes clubfoot?

Flailed feet may be caused by congenital factors, bad habits or secondary to other diseases and other acquired factors. 1. Congenital factors: generally due to congenital developmental abnormalities of the foot, such as flat feet, tarsal coalition, paravalvular bone, congenital vertical talus and so on, resulting in uneven force on the soles of the feet to form a clubfoot. 2. Acquired factors: generally seen in bad habits, such as long-term wear of ill-fitting shoes or high-heeled shoes, resulting in muscle imbalance caused by the toes extrusion, ultimately caused by foot overthrow. In addition, some of the factors such as diabetes, arthritis, tumors and gout, causing joint inflammation or extrusion, can also cause clubfoot. In case of hallux valgus with painful symptoms or severe deformity, it is recommended to go to the hospital for early and regular treatment.
