With the progress of science and technology, people’s living standard is improving year by year, and people are paying more and more attention to their own health. We find that although people have better food, better clothes and better housing, there are more cancer patients. Faced with many cancer patients, some people are afraid of talking about cancer and think it is an incurable disease; some others, when they know they are suffering from cancer, will seek medical treatment indiscriminately, and use all kinds of prescriptions and secret recipes. But often, a lot of money is spent and the disease is delayed, and in the end, people and money are empty. Chinese medicine has a long history of treating tumors and has made indelible contribution to the life and health of our people. However, some people still have more or less misunderstandings about TCM for tumor treatment. Here is my personal clinical experience to talk about “how to correctly understand TCM against tumor”. Chinese medicine can be applied to any stage of tumor treatment. As the original medicine of China, TCM has its unique features in many diseases, and tumor is no exception. It has good efficacy in lung cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, thyroid cancer and so on. As we know, the treatment of tumor nowadays has the following treatment methods, namely: surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, gamma knife, traditional Chinese medicine, etc. Each treatment method has its own indications. For example, if the tumor can be removed cleanly, surgery is the best means, and on the basis of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, gamma knife and other treatments can be carried out. However, not every kind of tumor can be treated with surgery, for example, patients with multiple metastases have lost the chance of surgery; for example, chemotherapy is a good means to fight against cancer, and many patients have achieved good efficacy through chemotherapy, however, we also know that chemotherapy drugs kill cancer cells and also kill good cells in human body, which is why many patients receiving chemotherapy will be nauseous, vomit, and lose hair. This is why many patients undergoing chemotherapy will be nausea, vomiting, hair loss. For the same reason, radiotherapy, gamma knife and other treatments also have their own scope of adaptation and are not applicable to all tumor patients. Unlike Chinese medicine, it can be used throughout the whole tumor treatment. For example, after surgery, Chinese medicine can be taken to benefit qi and replenish blood (surgery consumes qi and hurts blood), during chemotherapy, medicine can be taken to support the stomach (chemotherapy causes nausea and vomiting), during radiotherapy, medicine can be taken to nourish yin and clear benefits (radiotherapy causes dry mouth, thirst and other symptoms of qi and yin deficiency), and in general, Chinese medicine can also be taken to support and fight cancer. Chinese medicine is very simple, “if there is evidence, use the right medicine”, there is no so-called secret recipe or partial prescription to cure tumor. Although science has developed to the present day, many people are able to understand and treat diseases rationally, but there are still people who have the so-called “incurable” cancer, and then they will turn to doctors for treatment. However, the scope of application of these prescriptions and recipes is relatively small, and many people, due to the lack of knowledge about diseases and Chinese medicine, often cannot identify those prescriptions and recipes suitable for them, so they “try the medicine with their own bodies”. It is no wonder that many people do not achieve the expected results, or worse, the worse the treatment.
