What is a lobular tumor of the breast?

Lobular breast tumors are fibroepithelial tumors that can be classified as benign, junctional, or malignant. The etiology of the disease is still unclear. In addition to race, age and geographical factors, it may also be related to hygiene habits, childbearing and lactation, and endocrine changes. It is usually characterized by localized painless lumps in the breast, changes in breast shape and skin surface, and is most common in middle-aged women, multiparous and breastfeeding. Lobular tumors are mainly treated by surgery, and the scope of excision is different for different types of lobular tumors. Benign and junctional lobular tumors are mainly treated by mass enlargement resection.
