The most common lesions of chronic cervicitis are inflammatory lesions such as cervical hypertrophy, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, etc. Chronic cervicitis is a common chronic gynecological inflammatory disease in women. Most chronic cervicitis is caused by acute cervical inflammation or may be caused by persistent infection with pathogens and is prone to recurrent episodes of increased discharge, contact bleeding, and abdominal pain. Chronic cervicitis may cause cervical intraepithelial lesions if infected with high-risk HPV, and may even cause cervical precancerous lesions to appear as cervical cancer. For chronic cervicitis, women should routinely undergo cervical screening, i.e. TCT and HPV, to exclude cervical precancerous lesions and cervical cancer, and to take effective treatment measures for chronic cervicitis.
