What are the treatments for precordial disease?

1, medical treatment: At present, except for preterm infants with unclosed ductus arteriosus, which may be cured by medication in the early stage, small myocardial or membranous ventricular septal defects and small atrial septal defects may heal themselves, other diseases are impossible to be cured by injection and medication. Internal drug treatment can only temporarily control heart failure and reduce pulmonary artery pressure, as a short-term treatment before surgery. 2.Interventional treatment: Interventional treatment is the first choice for arteriovenous catheterization, atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect and pulmonary artery stenosis, but some children still need traditional surgery. 3.Surgical treatment: At present, almost all precardiac diseases can be treated surgically (palliative or radical surgery). The timing of surgery varies from disease to disease. Some of the serious patients must be operated in the postnatal emergency, those who often suffer from respiratory infections, recurrent pneumonia, heart failure, especially children who cannot be controlled by drugs, should be operated early. Theoretically, children with precordial disease aged >2 years have organic changes in the pulmonary vascular bed and should be operated before. However, children with milder disease and little impact on growth and development can be checked every half to one year on a follow-up basis in order to grasp the best timing for surgery. 4, mosaic treatment: is a combination of surgery and interventional procedures, mosaic treatment can simplify the previous complex surgical methods and solve the complex cases that could not be treated by a single method in the past.
