What is the cause of swollen calves after prolonged standing/sitting/squatting?

Long standing, sitting and squatting postures are not conducive to blood circulation in the lower limbs, poor venous return and increased pressure therefore appearing as calf swelling and pain. If the pain can be relieved after rest, it is physiological calf swelling and pain. If the pain cannot be relieved after rest, you need to be alert to the possibility of vascular disease in the lower limbs or other orthopaedic diseases, such as pain is obvious or accompanied by varicose veins, intermittent claudication, lumbago and other symptoms, you need to seek medical attention.
