The characteristics of nasopharyngeal carcinoma lymph node metastasis in the neck are that the lymph nodes in the upper neck metastasize first, and then along the lymph node pathway can metastasize to the supraclavicular lymph nodes. For lymph node metastasis of nasopharyngeal cancer, we can do synchronous chemotherapy or chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy and then chemotherapy. Even if lymph node metastasis occurs, the prognosis is relatively good because the patient is sensitive to radiotherapy, and the 5-year survival rate varies depending on the stage, which is over 90% for early stage and about 30%-40% for advanced or locally advanced stage.
