What is nasopharyngeal cancer all about?

Nasopharyngeal cancer (carcinomaofnasopharynx) is one of the high incidence tumors in China, with Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and Fujian provinces as the high incidence areas. The incidence rate of nasopharyngeal cancer in men is two to three times that of women, and the age group of 40 to 50 is the high incidence. Due to the hidden anatomical location of nasopharynx, the early symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer are not typical, so it is easy to delay the diagnosis clinically.

1.Nasal symptoms In the early stage, blood in retracted snot or blood in blown snot may appear, sometimes or not, which does not attract patients’ attention.

2.Ear symptoms If the tumor occurs in the pharyngeal fossa, it may compress or obstruct the pharyngeal orifice of the eustachian tube in the early stage, causing tinnitus, ear closure and hearing loss on that side, and fluid accumulation in the tympanic chamber.

3. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck Metastasis of cervical lymph nodes is more common, and swollen cervical lymph nodes are the first symptom of 60% of the cases.
