Sexual organ lesions are undoubtedly the biggest headache for men. Although regular medical checkups are a good way to cope, but for the sake of face, who wants to run to the male or urology department over and over again. But fortunately, men’s “lifeblood” (penis and testicles) protrude outside the body cavity, which provides them with the convenience of self-examination. The first thing you need to do is to take a look and feel when you are showering or changing clothes, and you may find something abnormal. This is the time to go to the hospital and save the hassle of traveling back and forth. Zhengzhou People’s Hospital Urology Department Qu Xiaowei 1, self-examination of the penis First of all, look at its surface to see if there is no growth of foreign bodies, such as ulcers, blisters, swollen bags, meat lumps; then touch the glans to see if it is smooth; touch the penis to feel if there are hard knots. In addition, the foreskin should be turned over regularly to observe whether the joint between the penis and the glans is clean and whether there is dirt. If there is dirt, it needs to be cleaned. 2.Self-examination of testicles First of all, we should pay attention to the size of the testicles. The volume of adult testicles should be above 8 ml, and the average testicle size of Chinese people is 12 ml. If the testicle of an adult is less than 8 ml, it is possible that the testicle is atrophied. In boys, at the age of 10, the testicular volume should generally reach 4 ml, and less than 4 ml should be considered abnormal. 3.Touch method to check testicles The normal state of testicles should have smooth surface, full texture, no tenderness, and clear demarcation with epididymis. If the testicles are found to increase in size in a short period of time and there is no tenderness, it may be testicular cancer; if the testicles are painful under touch, it indicates inflammation of the testicles; if the scrotum is enlarged and the testicles and epididymis cannot be felt, it may be syringomyelia, which means there is fluid accumulation in the scrotum; if the epididymis is painful and enlarged, it indicates that the epididymis has lesions. If there is a feeling of swelling or pain in the scrotum and testicles, which is aggravated when standing for a long time or walking for a long time, and the symptoms will be relieved or disappear when lying down, then it may be varicocele. Typical varicocele can be seen as twisted and dilated veins under the skin of the scrotum; or when touched with the hand, a worm-like mass of dilated blood vessels can be felt. Primary varicocele may shrink or disappear when lying down. If the symptoms do not improve even after lying down, there is a possibility of compression by a lesion such as a tumor. Once the above symptoms appear, it is best to go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
