Breast Cancer Review For patients with breast cancer, patients are often told to have regular review, usually for the first 5 years, they will be advised to have regular review in 3-6 months, the items include routine blood tests, and biochemical routine tests, oncological markers, imaging review includes ultrasound, such as breast ultrasound, and also lymph node ultrasound in the neck and clavicular region, and abdominal ultrasound to understand whether liver metastasis is present. Pulmonary CT to find out if the patient has lung metastases after surgery. In addition, bone scan is reviewed to understand whether the patient has the possibility of bone metastasis from breast cancer. For patients with different conditions, there are different review items, not all patients need to be very perfect. For high-risk patients, such as patients with lymph node metastasis or larger tumor, patients with more advanced stage, patients with higher histological stage, patients will be recommended to have a more systematic review in the previous 2-3 years. For low-risk patients, patients will be advised to adjust or extend the time slightly. In addition, patients taking endocrine drugs, such as tamoxifen or toremifene, will be advised to review gynecological ultrasound.
