Is it normal for a baby to have a temperature of 37.5

Generally babies are recognized as having a fever when their body surface temperature exceeds 37.5℃, but the 37.5℃ here is only the average body surface temperature. 1. The upper limit of normal value of body temperature measured by different measuring methods is not the same. The upper limit of normal value of ear temperature measured by ear thermometer is 38℃, the upper limit of normal value of forehead temperature measured by forehead thermometer is 38℃, and the upper limit of normal value of axillary body surface temperature measured by digital thermometer is 37.2℃. The upper limit of normal value for anal temperature is 38℃, and the upper limit of normal value for oral temperature is 37.8℃. 2. It is recommended that infants two months old or even younger with a rectal temperature higher than 38°C, an oral temperature higher than 37.5°C, or an axillary temperature higher than 37°C should see a doctor immediately. 3-6 month old infants with a rectal temperature higher than 38.3°C, and infants over 6 months old with a rectal temperature higher than 39.4°C should see a doctor. Temperature is not the only criterion for determining an infant’s health. When the infant’s temperature is 37.5℃, parents can observe the infant’s eating, drinking, sleeping, and mental state to make a comprehensive decision. If you cannot determine the infant’s condition, it is recommended to consult a doctor promptly.
