Patients with headaches and dizziness should be aware of whether they are caused by hypertension

In clinical work, we often encounter patients with dizziness and headache, who are seen by other physicians without a detailed physical examination and rely on more imaging examinations. If no clear lesion is found, they are diagnosed with cerebral arterial insufficiency and given multiple drugs orally and intravenously, with no relief of symptoms. When they visit me, blood pressure is often measured significantly higher. The symptoms were relieved with a simple blood pressure lowering treatment. I hope that more doctors will improve their responsibility and give more consideration to common diseases so that patients will take fewer detours and spend less money. Patients themselves should also take the initiative to request a blood pressure test to rule out common problems of dizziness and headaches.
