Atrial fibrillation is the only way to cure atrial fibrillation, and this has been confirmed by evidence-based science. Some patients may be a little worried about the ablation process, fearing the danger and pain. In fact, these concerns are normal, but they are also superfluous. Atrial fibrillation ablation has been performed in 15,000 cases in our center, and the technology and method are very mature. For a patient with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, the procedure takes less than one hour, including the preparation time for the procedure; for a patient with persistent atrial fibrillation, the procedure takes only 1.5 hours. The risks are minimal; there may be some discomfort during the procedure when the lesion is ablated, but it varies from person to person, and the discomfort is usually only a few minutes; the most important thing is that the person is awake during the whole procedure and knows if there is any discomfort and can tell the doctor. This way, the doctor will adjust the ablation site and ablation time to avoid the patient’s discomfort to the greatest extent.
