Common functional adrenal tumors include some adrenal cortical tumors, some adrenal medullary tumors and some other adrenal tumors. 1. Adrenocortical tumors include benign adrenocortical adenomas and malignant adrenocortical carcinomas. Some of these tumors have the function of secreting endocrine hormones, so they are called functional adrenocortical tumors, and these tumors can cause cortisol secretion hyperactivity, aldosteronism and so on. 2. Adrenal medullary tumors include benign, malignant and mixed pheochromocytoma. Due to abnormal hormone secretion, many patients will have uncontrollable high blood pressure, abnormally high blood glucose, high blood fat and so on. 3. Some germ cell tumors among other adrenal tumors have the role of secreting abnormal hormones and also belong to functional adrenal tumors.
