What is the fracture contouring period

:The fracture-plastic period is 8-12 weeks after the fracture. The healing of the fracture is divided into three stages: First, the hematoma mechanization period, in which the hematoma forms at the fracture end, and the hematoma gradually mechanizes to form fibrous joints, also called fibrous bone scabs, which is completed within 2-4 weeks after the fracture. Second, 4-8 weeks after the fracture is the bony scab formation period, the fibrous scab will gradually calcify and form bony scab, you can see the fracture line gradually blurred on the X-ray film, there is a small amount of scab formation, the fracture is not very strong at this stage. Third, the fracture shaping period, that is, 8-12 weeks after the fracture, the bone scab will gradually be shaped to form normal bone, which is stronger and stronger, and the new bone trabeculae in the original bone scab will gradually increase and become more regular and dense, and the dead bone at the fracture end will be removed and new bone will be formed as an alternative process, which is also the normal healing process of the fracture. During the fracture shaping period, it is recommended to eat a light diet, avoid spicy, stimulating and greasy foods, eat more foods rich in fiber and collagen, eat more fresh green vegetables and fruits, prohibit smoking and alcohol, prohibit carbonated beverages and foods with high sugar content to avoid osteoporosis, and perform moderate functional exercises to promote early recovery.
