Rheumatic disease joint rehabilitation exercises

  Rheumatoid arthritis patients in the chronic rehabilitation phase, finger joints, wrist joints, elbow joints, shoulder joints, ankle joints, etc., can use the method of joint gymnastics for functional exercise, to prevent or slow down the role of joint stiffness, deformity.  First, there are two forms of joint gymnastics: 1, passive movement, refers to the external force to complete the movement.  2, active movement, is completed by the patient in the form of muscle contraction.  Second, according to the different joints involved, the following exercises can be used.  1.Finger joint exercises: alternate between fist clenching and finger flat extension. When making a fist, you can hold a pencil or thicker stick, and when stretching, you can press the palm of your hand and fingers flat against the table, or put both hands together with force.  2, wrist exercises: both hands together, repeatedly alternating force to the side of the flexion, but also hold tight dumbbells to do wrist flexion and extension movement.  3, elbow joint exercises: palms up, both arms forward flat, rapid fist and flexion elbow, efforts to make the fist up to the shoulder, and then quickly extend the palm or elbow, repeatedly for many times, and then both arms flat to both sides. Clench fist and bend elbow exercise as before.  4.Shoulder joint exercise: one arm from the same side of the front from the neck side to the back, palm touching the back, while the other arm from the same side of the side (armpit) to the back, fingers touching the back, try to make the fingers of both hands contact. Repeat several times a day.  5. Ankle exercise: sitting position, ankle joint flexion and extension and rotation movement on both sides respectively.
