There are 5 kinds of conditions: clinical cure, obvious improvement, improvement, temporary stability, progress or deterioration. Clinical cure: disappearance or shrinkage of tumor lesions by more than 75%, dense iodine oil deposition in the tumor foci, complete necrosis of tumor tissues as shown by MRI, and absence of tumor blood vessels and tumor staining by DSA. Alpha-fetoprotein was normal. The survival period of the patient is more than 5 years. Significant improvement: the mass shrinks by ≥50% or more, the iodine oil deposits in the tumor lesion are dense, and the filled area is ≥80% of the area of the mass. MRI examination shows that the tumor tissue is largely necrotic, and there are only a few tumor blood vessels and tumor staining in the peripheral edge of the tumor. Alpha-fetoprotein decreased to less than 70% of the preoperative level. Patient survival is 1 year or more. Improvement: the mass shrinks ≥25% but <50%, non-uniform deposition of iodine oil in the tumor foci, filling area ≤50% of the mass area. MRI shows partial survival of the tumor tissue and partial necrosis, with necrotic areas accounting for about 30%-50%. Alpha-fetoprotein decreased to less than 50% of the preoperative level. Patient survival of 6 months or more. Temporary stability: the mass shrinks by <25%, the iodine oil deposition in the tumor focus is sparse, and the filled area is ≤30% of the mass area. MRI shows that most of the tumor tissue survives, with only a small portion of necrosis, and the necrotic area is ≥10% but <30%. Alpha-fetoprotein has not decreased or has only decreased to less than 30% of the preoperative level. Progression or deterioration: the mass is enlarged, there is no iodine oil deposition in the tumor foci or there are scattered speckles, and the filled area is ≤10% of the mass area.MRI examination shows that most of the tumor tissues are survived, the tumor vasculature is significantly increased, the tumor staining is obvious, and new tumor foci can be seen. Alpha-fetoprotein was elevated.
