The clitoris is the part of the female clitoris that is exposed on the surface of the body and is medically known as the “clitoral head,” or the “nucleus” or “pussy bean. As part of the female genitalia, it is the area that is used to obtain sexual pleasure stimulation. Let’s take a closer look at this unique and mysterious “bean”. What does the clitoris look like? The clitoris is not a small dot as most people think, but a complete clitoris is actually a spongy tissue shaped like an upside down “Y”, consisting of three parts: the clitoral head, the clitoral body and the clitoral foot, covered with the clitoral foreskin and rich in nerve endings. The “little bean” refers to the head of the clitoris. In most Asian women, the entire clitoris is about 2-4 cm long, with the clitoral head being a small, round nodule, about 0.3-1 cm in diameter, that becomes engorged and erect when sexually aroused. Where is the clitoris? Above the female vaginal opening is the urethral opening, and further up the urethral opening is the mons pubis (where the pubic hair grows). A small bump between the urethra and the mons pubis is where the head of the clitoris is located (the tip of the labia minora). The head of the clitoris is usually protected by the foreskin of the clitoris, so it is not easy to see, but you can feel it with your hand, and it becomes more obvious when you are sexually excited. If you are at home, you can also find a small mirror and look for it against it. What is the role of the clitoris? The clitoris is part of the female genitalia and has a similar physiological structure to the male penis, which is one of the strongest proofs of the “male/female homology”. However, unlike the male penis, the clitoris does not have multiple functions, such as urination and reproduction, and the only function of the clitoris is to provide sexual pleasure. The clitoris has about 8,000 nerve endings on its head, which is nearly three times more sensitive than the male glans. Another difference between the clitoris and the penis is that the clitoris can be erected multiple times in a short period of time, which means that a woman can have many clitoral orgasms in a given period of time. The clitoris is not really a mystery, or it should be. There is no need for people to be overly focused on the existence of the clitoris or even to force clitoral orgasms. It’s enough to let go of textbook theories and feel your body with a relaxed mind, paying attention to hygiene and strength. References: [1] Chang WQ.
