Is it possible to have a thick endometrium without a curettage?

The thickness of the endometrium does not always remain the same, but changes with the menstrual cycle as well. However, if the thickness of the endometrium reaches 10 mm or more after menstruation or if there is repeated irregular vaginal bleeding with excessive menstrual flow, scraping is required. However, if the thickness of the endometrium is less than 10 mm, it can still be treated by taking medication and scraping is not necessarily necessary. Some women have excessive thickening of the endometrium due to some diseases, which can cause a series of adverse phenomena such as increased menstrual flow and prolonged bleeding. This phenomenon must also be treated by curettage if hormonal medication is not able to stop the bleeding. Scraping is actually the process of scraping the thickened endometrium out of the uterine cavity by means of an instrument. Whether or not endometrial thickening requires scraping is a matter for the clinician, who will develop a specific treatment plan based on each individual’s symptoms.
