Tumor patients eating turtle, pig’s feet and other foods can be appropriate to eat, but not a big supplement. Tumor patients should choose high-quality protein in their diet, such as: eggs, milk, fish, lean meat and soy products, etc., and also need to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits to supplement vitamins. Turtle, pig’s trotters and other foods are mainly collagen-based and do not belong to high-quality protein. The gastrointestinal function of tumor patients undergoing radiotherapy has some damage, and foods such as turtle and pig’s trotters are more fatty in taste and higher in cholesterol and fat content, which may aggravate the gastrointestinal burden of the patients and cause further aggravation of poor diet or anorexia. Therefore, it is not recommended for tumor patients to eat too much turtle, pig’s trotters and other foods to supplement nutrition.
