What are the risks of bone reconstruction?

       In addition to the risks common to surgical procedures such as anesthesia accidents, injury to blood vessels and nerves, postoperative infection and bone discontinuity, there are also risks of new bone formation, deformity, joint dislocation, joint stiffness, fracture or re-fracture, infection of the pin tract of the external fixator, broken pins, failure of the external fixator, blood clots and pain.
