Bone loss in the anterior region is a common clinical problem, mostly seen after tooth extraction due to trauma or periodontal disease. For bone of 3 mm or less, block bone grafting is usually required, with implantation six months later. Bone extraction site: chin, mandibular ascending branch or at the external oblique line. There is usually a slight local swelling after surgery (individual swelling may be significant).
