How long does it take for fasciitis to heal itself

Fasciitis can occur in multiple parts of the body, such as the soles of the feet, lower back, shoulders and neck, so the healing time cannot be generalized. Fasciitis is an aseptic inflammatory disease that can be triggered by multiple factors such as cold, strain, disease, and infection. Patients mainly present with soreness, pain, stiffness and discomfort, and nodules and striated structures can be palpated locally. In the case of plantar fasciitis, the patient’s symptoms are mild and may disappear on their own after 3-4 days of rest and avoidance of weight bearing. If the symptoms are more severe, they can gradually recover in 3-4 weeks after rest, local massage, Achilles tendon stretching training or even local closure or shock wave therapy. Fasciitis of the low back takes a relatively long time to heal, and patients can recover in about 6 months after rest, acupuncture and physiotherapy, and blood-stasis-boosting drugs, but with some recurrence. In conclusion, patients with fasciitis do not need special treatment, but by taking rest and avoiding exertion, their symptoms will be relieved accordingly.
